Wait no more….

I’m waiting for the one where we can create beautiful art.
He’ll sail down my bloodstream resting right on my heart.
Skin dark like midnight
Eyes glowing like street lights.
That smile curves like the moon’s crescent
His essence….
Tall dark and handsome..
Referring only to the black kings.
You know the mother of civilization offsprings.~J.A.A.G

I stand as a king, now prepared for his queen but she seems to be hiding. Maybe behind the hurt of her past caused by guys who wore a mask similar to my reflection I can understand why she would be skeptical of my interest. How can I prove to her that our portrait would be a work of art because she is my masterpiece. Her effortless beauty is only enhanced by the curve of her mouth that’s only outmatched by the curve of her waist no more waiting your time is now…~Adoniis

Monochrome Love  (poem)

I love our late night conversations when I speak into your mic. Spreading my vocals down your pipe. ~J.A.A.G

I entreated the sun, though he made me wait a while, he has retreated to where the clouds meet the earth, come my love, speak to me ~Udah C. Inalegwu

Now that the blackness has covered the sky, your darkness can cover the interior of this place my organs call home. Come my king as we create a monochrome image of our love. ~J.A.A.G

I looked to her soul, through two almond windows with black and white curtains, And her beautiful soul calls to me, my queen, my goddess of love, oh those eyes, two mesmerising little stars, let me dwell in there forever. ~Udah C. Inalegwu

Reed (poem)

I never knew life would get so hard for me,
Taken by emotions life coasting by while I’m stuck in the motions
Muddy waters,
Adding leaves for those who leave
A Reed…
Smoking weed to escape the pain of truly being alone,
Falling for men who masked their intentions with cologne and tales of a broken home
I love the complication…
That’s why I tell myself to be wary of connections.
Blame my father for that broken trust got me looking for men who thrusts
Instead of minds to remind and rewind this soul of mine.
I guess that’s why I won’t give him the time,
Young virgin boy who sees beauty within me that I can never see…
Or that was never shown to me.
Got me second guessing my actions
Always waiting for his reaction
My subtle words  was my transaction for his lovely pieces …
he calls me his dove ,
Even though I’m not worthy of the representation of a holy bird sent from above
So I curve,
Not giving him the essence of my precious presence
Instead for instance
I mess with those who could give less
I must confess I am a Reed..
Stuck in this water looking for order amongst  this chaos tides let me reside within these lines ~Deandre

I’m so over looking.
Too many times I’ve been taken for granted.
A lonely seed never fully planted.
Just tossed in a pile.
It hurts to smile.
This heart leaks never Reaching my peak.
I yearn for you.
Your Cocoa skin each curve I watch as you sway away.
Leaving me with no touch.
Your scent suffocates my lungs.
Got me sprung.
Tie the knot from the noose I hung.
Trying to find a reason for a delay.
No not today. Your voice is on replay.
My aphrodisiac don’t let me fade beneath the surface.
Give me a purpose to not slit this wrist.
Your hand I reached for.
Slipped then I tripped.
You watched me as I sunk deeper gasping for air.
Swept away by your tsunami
Omnipresent but yet you remain unavailable.
Replaceable you are.
Occasionally thinking of a way to make this untraceable…. ~Jamy

Collaboration week day 4

Smile again…. (poem)

I made you smile last night.
It wasn’t just a grin.
No this was a showing all 32s
You bursted into laughter.
I made you smile
And guess what it had nothing to do with sex.
What’s next you’re guessing.
Let’s laugh some more
Tell me something silly so I can return with something not so funny
But you’ll laugh because you think I’m cute.
Let me see that smile one more time.
This time I want mines to touch yours…..~Jamy

Of course time will tell if you truly love this crooked smile.
Vexed with imperfections with no signs of corrections
It’ll be a while
Before you realized I’m just a beautiful confused child.
Like the rest you’ll get used to these antics
No longer unique,
I’ll become another boy who made you feel special an antique.
I got trust issues laced with pain and tissue for those who say they love my smile..
Because it won’t be long before this smile becomes the issue ~Deandre

See there you go assuming
Thinking I’m going to misuse this
Your smile only looks crooked because you look at me with your head to the side
This vibe no modern technology
Let’s take it back to the days before we were even thought of
Here’s my sleeve
Your tears mixed with my skin
This melanin will shine bright
Are you still confused?
Because your queen is waiting….~Jamy

conflicted I lay contemplating
upon hearing that my smile won’t be wasted.
She called herself my queen, so it seems,
That this maybe  the beginning of a love scene
To think it all started with a smile worthwhile..
So here I come,
Giving you all of me again,
Hoping that this time a beautiful journey begin ~Deandre

Collaboration week day 2

Real Feelings Day 1

Today’s hopeless romantic is now labeled as thirsty and dramatic
no longer seen as lovers but  people who swarm your covers  with obsessions.  These are the confessions of a boy who let his thoughts and emotions swirl
I think the world forgot the concept of love
Nothing higher  than these feelings that come from above
Soul burning brightly like fire out of the stove
what happened to love just being that
Now if a man  shows a little chivalry   a female steps back,  they forgot what love is
Because our society taught them that  love kills
Now young hopeless romantic souls like mine stay still.
Wondering if we care too much  and if we will ever receive,
 A feel that’s real ~Deandre

I feel you. I got you. I want you.
I’m here to let your soul run free. Communicate with me.
No longer shall you feel hopeless.
Here’s my hand, you should hold this.
Let’s bring back the chivalry.
Wrap me in your arms as we walk those chilly windy city nights.
You take one step, I’ll take two.
You jump and I’ll jump for you.
Catch me.
Let’s fall into deep thoughts.
Now I know you’re thinking this will end soon.
Just know this is real.
We do still exist.
If it’s not too much to ask, my lips will like a kiss. ~Jamy

Collaboration week day 1

Indirect conversations….

There’s a question in your legs.
Where have they been?
Where are they going.?
Will your heart come along?
There’s a question in your eyes.
Do they know I see them?
Are they watching out for something true ?
What satisfies your lips.
The truth or a kiss. ?
There’s a question at the tip of your toe.
What makes them walk the earth the way they do.
Will you tell me ? ~Adewumi Godwin

When will you talk to me?
Not just verbally or through text.
I want to have a real conversation about you.
Must I come to you for this to happen?
Talk to me.
Let me know this isn’t one sided.
I’m forcing myself to hide it.
But I want to connect the dots and see the image behind it. ~ J.A.A.G

Shatter your love…..(poem)

Daytimes filled with dark clouds, clouds that stored my deepest secrets. Secrets that would start to be revealed in the early mornings. Body shots mixed with inhales, exhale as you release yourself in me. I would always be gone before morning. Collecting my belongings while you lay snoring. You hated when I didn’t say bye.
Returning to comfort your lonely heart. Kisses all over your body. Soaking your brain with sweet lies before I depart. Sleep my love, I’ll come back to you. ~J.A.A.G.

Cracked the top off that Old No. 7 one last time last night. But I didn’t hallucinate I was able to fight and refrain, still insane though as I chewed into the glass with aggression, swallowed the label, engulfed the cap as it made a splash with no sound.

No more time to cradle you baby, I won as I stand over your shattered corpse but of course I want to get on my knees and lick the floors just to feel you one more time, mine you were but that’s past tense as I head for the doors light up a match and watch you burn never again yearning for more.
~ Luke Elliott
