Day 1 of GD_words poems.

There’s a lie I’m telling with my eyes and covering with my palm. This mirror never lies to me, it tells me everything I’ve told it to say. I’m not vengeful but I don’t forget. My lips are true, only the worthy can have them. My words are few for a reason. The tongue of a talkative is the instrument of his undoing. I’ve seen me before through many mirrors, this is the clearest of all. This is the truest of all. Till we meet again. –Adewumi Godwin
